end-user licence agreement
last updated 2026-10-12
draft, not reviewed. a starting point, not legal advice: have it checked for [Country] and the countries you sell to, then set legal.reviewed in site/config.mjs.
This agreement is between you and [Legal name of the seller] ("we") for the snowday plugins and any updates to them (the "software"). By installing the software you agree to it.
1. What you may do
- Install and use the software on computers that you own or use yourself.
- Use it to make music and sound for any purpose, commercial or not. What you make with it is yours. We claim no rights in your audio.
2. What you may not do
- Share, sell, rent or give away your licence key or the software.
- Reverse engineer, decompile or change the software, except where the law allows it.
- Remove or get around the licence check.
3. Licence keys
Your key is tied to your email address and order. It works offline and doesn't need an account. You may move the licence to a new computer at any time.
4. Demos
You may use a demo without a licence key, on the same terms as this agreement. Until it is activated, a demo starts from default settings when a project is reopened. You may not sell demos or bundle them with other products without our permission.
5. Transfer
[Decide: licences can / cannot be transferred to another person. If they can, describe how.]
6. Third-party parts
The software includes the Inter typeface, used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.
7. No warranty
The software is provided "as is". We work hard to make it reliable, but we don't promise it will be free of errors or work with every host. Save your work often.
8. Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for the software. Nothing here limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit.
9. Ending the licence
The licence ends if you break these terms, or if you get a refund. When it ends, delete the software.
10. Law
This agreement is governed by the law of [Country]. Consumers keep the protections of the law where they live.
